“A tailor-made programme on healthy relationships for a small group of people with mental health issues and learning difficulties addressing specific issues they were experiencing. It built confidence with individuals and allowed them to feel more comfortable challenging other people and their circumstances. The manner and style of the presentation was adapted to the needs of the group and they were pleased to learn new things in a supportive environment.
A course that covered a variety of information about healthy relationships and encouraged people to think about their past experiences and what they could do differently in the future. This has already resulted in people changing their outlook on what type of relationship they want going forward and challenging their own stereotypes about relationships. One individual has addressed their own behaviour in terms of appropriateness in different situations recognising that their perception is not the same as another persons and therefore they need to change their own behaviour in different circumstances. Feedback from people on the group was very positive, as they had learned more about human behaviour, their own prejudices and the laws that exist to help you.
I would have no hesitation in recommending a healthy relationships course for all people.”
“I think that the work that has been done by Regener8 is of paramount importance. They can work with groups of pupils and can make an impact. The information that they give to the pupils is important and they can give information with confidence and make an impact, more than what we as teachers can do. The information that they give the pupils is fresh and they know what they are doing. They can gage the pupils and tailor make the sessions to suit the pupils.

“I would like to say that working alongside you and your colleague was a credit to see two people work with high professionalism and offer a wide range of knowledge around CSE.
The two girls I chose to attend the 8 weeks were both struggling to maintain healthy relationships with friends, partners and even family as this course gave them an insight into guidance on how to stay safe and healthy.
I am hoping we can continue this support in September as I have at least 10 young girls age 14-15 at who would benefit from this guidance as these girls are very vulnerable.
A course like this could give the girls a chance to achieve new goals, improve self-esteem and confidence in themselves.

“This service has been excellent for our service users. We work with young mothers who are often very vulnerable and are often blinded to the way their partner treats them. These workshops have allowed our girls to speak openly in an environment where they are comfortable, therefore honest accounts of relationships and other factors where shared. The workshop contacts give our girls insight into how other people experience a relationship with a partner and as a result some of our girls realised how unhealthy their relationship were. As a result of this they are seeking specialist support.
What is invaluable about the workshops is the content in which they were delivered. Some of the workshop titles were very controversial and had the possibility of opening up old wounds however Alex and Nick were very professional and true youth workers with their delivery. They were down to earth and their facilitation skills and delivery were excellent.
I cannot recommend this project enough and we are extremely pleased with it.”
“The report is very profound in telling a story of the impact and amount of abuse to our young people but also the positive work your project was able to do in enabling young people to identify with the problems, the wrongness of these acts they experienced and building their confidence and resilience to repel, avoid and report future abuse.
